We are thrilled to announce that Courtney Helton, APRN, has joined The Kidney and Hypertension Center (KHC). With a wealth of experience and a deep commitment to patient care, Courtney is poised to make a significant impact on our community and the patients we serve.
Meet Courtney Helton, APRN
Courtney received both her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from Northern Kentucky University. Her nursing career began in 2005 in the cardiovascular ICU, laying a solid foundation in critical patient care. In 2016, she transitioned to the acute dialysis setting, where she spent over seven years. Her passion for nephrology grew as she engaged deeply with the procedures and patient interactions that dialysis entails.
Moving beyond her initial role, Courtney pursued further education to become a Nurse Practitioner — a decision driven by her dedication to patient advocacy and education. She excels in initiating patients on dialysis and takes great care to explain the processes involved, ensuring that patients are well-informed and empowered to make decisions about their care. Courtney’s approach to healthcare is characterized by a hands-on, educational philosophy that aligns seamlessly with our values at KHC.
