We are thrilled to announce the addition of two exceptional providers, Jonathan S. Mersereau, NP, and R. Keith Waller, APRN, to The Kidney and Hypertension Center (KHC). Their wealth of experience and dedication to patient care are certain to make a significant impact on both our patients and our team.
Meet Jonathan S. Mersereau, NP
Jonathan’s journey into medicine was inspired by a personal connection with his grandmother, who battled Parkinson’s disease and Alzheimer’s. He pursued his education at Western Oregon University, where his studies in immunology and advanced biology deepened his commitment to helping patients with kidney disease. After completing further medical education in Ohio and at Maryville University, Jonathan entered the field of nephrology to not only treat but also educate his patients on the importance of kidney health. In his practice, Jonathan emphasizes clear communication and empowering patients with the knowledge they need to actively manage their conditions.
Outside of work, Jonathan enjoys outdoor adventures with his family, camping, and exploring new activities. He also has a passion for reading and is an avid fan of authors Terry Brooks and Christopher Paolini.
Meet R. Keith Waller, APRN
With a strong background in critical care, Keith brings invaluable experience to KHC. His journey in nephrology began as an ICU RN, where he developed a keen interest in acute kidney injuries and chronic kidney disease. As a recognized expert in Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT), Keith is known for his ability to explain complex medical treatments in a way that patients and their families can easily understand. He is passionate about fostering a collaborative and informed approach to care, ensuring every patient feels heard and empowered throughout their treatment journey.
In his personal life, Keith enjoys hiking, fishing, and hunting, and has a goal to climb Denali in the near future. He’s also a dedicated sports fan with a special love for UK basketball and the Indianapolis Colts.
These talented providers bring unique skills and perspectives to our team, and we are confident they will make an incredible impact on our patients and community.
