The Kidney & Hypertension Center (KHC) is excited to welcome Tara Wyenandt as our new Clinical Research Coordinator. Tara brings a strong foundation in both clinical care and clinical research, and she joins KHC at an important time as our research department continues to grow.
Meet Tara Wyenandt
Tara launched her clinical research career at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital, coordinating trial operations across six core specialties: cardiology, gastroenterology, neurology, hospital medicine, psychiatry, and dermatology. Working hands-on across such diverse therapeutic areas gave her deep expertise in protocol execution, site operations, and participant engagement.
Today, she combines rigorous operational oversight with a patient-centered approach to ensure every trial runs efficiently from study kickoff through final follow-up.

Supporting Research at KHC
At KHC, Tara will play a key role in expanding and strengthening our clinical research program. Our dedicated research team hosts clinical trials designed to evaluate innovative treatment options for individuals living with kidney disease and hypertension. By participating in these trials, we help advance medical knowledge while offering patients in our local community direct access to some of the newest therapies currently being evaluated. Tara brings a deep, demonstrated commitment to patient education and collaborative care. She strongly believes that every participant should thoroughly understand what a study involves and feel fully supported throughout their research journey. This patient-first philosophy aligns seamlessly with KHC’s mission to advance medicine and deliver innovative care options to the communities we serve.
Strengthening Our Commitment to Community Care
As one of the leading kidney care groups across Kentucky and Ohio, KHC relies on a team of physicians, advanced practice providers, and staff who share a unified commitment to compassionate, evidence-based medicine. We are thrilled to welcome Tara to our team, and we look forward to the lasting impact her expertise will have on both our patients and our research initiative.
