This year’s Cincinnati Kidney Walk brought some exciting news for two local students: Peyton Duncanson and Colin Davey are the recipients of the 2026 KHC Scholarship. Each was awarded $2,500 in recognition of their strong academic performance, well-written essays, and clear commitment to a future in medicine.
Choosing this year’s winners wasn’t easy, given how many talented applicants stepped forward. What set Peyton and Colin apart was the clarity of their goals. Both wrote about specific paths into healthcare, backed by grades and involvement that show they’re already putting in the work.
Surrounded by nephrologists, patients, and community members at the walk, the two accepted their awards as part of a crowd that understands firsthand why supporting future healthcare providers matters.

About the KHC Scholarship
Since its start in 2024, the KHC Scholarship has helped high school seniors take a step toward a healthcare career without the full weight of tuition costs holding them back.
Two $2,500 awards go out each year to students who show both academic strength and a real interest in medicine. It’s one of the ways KHC works to build up the next wave of providers who will carry kidney care forward.
