The Kidney and Hypertension Center (KHC) is proud to announce its recent designation as a PKD Foundation Partner Clinic — a significant step that enhances our commitment to improving the lives of patients living with polycystic kidney disease (PKD). Under the leadership of Dr. Hisham Elsherbiny, newly appointed Clinic Director, we will provide innovative, personalized care that addresses the diverse needs of PKD patients throughout the Cincinnati metropolitan area and northern Kentucky.
As part of this expanded program, KHC has partnered with local health systems, including TriHealth, to offer PKD-focused imaging that uses renal measurements and the Mayo PKD classification system to tailor therapy for each patient. Our comprehensive services include genetic testing and counseling to confirm PKD diagnoses and guide individualized treatment plans. In addition, for patients requiring transplantation, we work in collaboration with The Christ Hospital to provide expert native nephrectomies and seamless access to transplant services — all under one coordinated care network.
Expanding Support for Women and Families
Through our partnership with maternal-fetal medicine experts, we offer specialized prenatal counseling and comprehensive pregnancy management to help expectant mothers navigate PKD-related challenges safely and confidently.
Advancing the Standard of Kidney Care
By partnering with the PKD Foundation, KHC reinforces its dedication to delivering state-of-the-art treatment, research-based care, and a patient-centered experience. We remain focused on broadening our services and fostering collaborations that streamline patient access to the latest advancements in kidney health.
