The Kidney and Hypertension Center proudly announces our designation as a PKD Foundation Partner Clinic and the appointment of Dr. Hisham Elsherbiny as the Clinic Director. With this designation, our patients with polycystic kidney disease (PKD) can be assured they are receiving state-of-the-art care right here.
As the premier nephrology group serving the Cincinnati metropolitan area, we provide comprehensive nephrology care that spans from preventive kidney health screenings to advanced treatments for chronic kidney disease. With the PKD program we partnered with Trihealth system to have PKD imaging done with renal measurements to obtain Mayo PKD class for each patient guiding personalized choice of therapy. Patients can also obtain genetic testing to confirm the diagnosis with genetic counseling. We are also providing kidney transplant for eligible patient with expertise in native nephrectomies done at the Christ Hospital.
We are actively working on expanding our PKD program to build local network of experts with different subspecialty across different health systems. We partnered with Maternal Fetal Medicine to provide prenatal counseling, follow up during pregnancy, and delivery.
With this new partnership with PKD foundation, we ensure that our PKD patients receive tailored, cutting-edge care that addresses their specific needs.
