During medicine training, Dr. Kumar found nephrology to be the most complete, holistic approach to human physiology and understanding, which is why he chose it as his specialty. His most common procedures are dialysis and plasmapheresis. Dr. Kumar focuses on prevention to maintain or improve current kidney function status and overall health using technological resources to hopefully improve outcomes.

In his free time, Dr. Kumar enjoys spending time with his wife and dog watching movies, gardening, and traveling. He also spends his time learning about technology for automation, earlier detection, decreasing barriers, and expediting paths to goals.
