Dr. Chimakurthi has a special interest in this specialty due to a personal experience of renal disease with a family member. She finds the specialty to be intellectually stimulating and challenging while allowing for long-term relationships with her patients and a good work-life balance.
Dr. Chimakurthi believes that empathy is something that is ingrained in her. It is a value her parents taught her in different ways, even as a child. She strongly believes that patience, interest in lifelong learning, and the ability to work hard are a few of the most important attributes that she richly possesses. She makes a conscious effort to consider a holistic viewpoint in her care management.
Dr. Chimakurthi’s family is her strength and she cherishes all her moments with them. In her free time, she enjoys trying out new recipes, venturing into other cuisines, spending time outdoors, and traveling.
