Dr. Muhammad Rafiuddin
Dr. Muhammad Rafiuddin, known to many of his patients and colleagues simply as Dr. Rafi, has been proudly serving patients with kidney disease in Northern Kentucky since 2014. He began his practice with St. Elizabeth Healthcare before transitioning to private practice, where he continued his commitment to delivering compassionate, patient-centered nephrology care.
Dr. Rafi completed his undergraduate education and earned his medical degree from prestigious institutions in Pakistan, where he was awarded the highly competitive Presidential Talent Scholarship. He moved to the United States in 2003 and completed his Internal Medicine residency at Michigan State University. He then pursued fellowship training in Nephrology at the University of Kentucky, where he remained on the faculty for three years following the completion of his fellowship.
He recently expanded his practice to serve the Greater Cincinnati community by joining The Kidney and Hypertension Center, a respected nephrology practice that has provided exceptional kidney care to the region for more than 50 years. Through this partnership, he is able to extend his expertise to a broader patient population while continuing his dedication to excellence in kidney care.
Dr. Rafi’s clinical interests include the management of hypertension, critical care nephrology, and renal replacement therapies, including dialysis. He is passionate about helping patients manage complex kidney conditions through evidence-based, individualized treatment plans that improve both health outcomes and quality of life.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Rafi enjoys spending quality time with his family, reading history books, and watching sports with his teenage sons.
