Dharika P. Shah, DO
Dr. Shah grew up in India and came to the US during her senior year of high school. In college, she was fascinated by physiology and the intricate mechanisms by which the body functions. While in medical school and during her residency, Dr. Shah discovered that nephrology was one of the few subspecialties that allowed her to build long-term relationships with her patients while providing holistic care.
In addition to knowledge and skills, Dr. Shah believes that empathy and conscientiousness are fundamental to the practice of medicine. It is through collaboration and effective communication that we can improve patient care.
Dr. Shah has published research in several journals since college and given presentations and local, national and international conferences.
When not working, Dr. Shah loves to spend her time hiking. She also finds joy in painting and cooking.
