The Kidney and Hypertension Center (KHC) is excited to welcome Gunjan Choudhary, MD, as the newest member of our distinguished team. Dr. Choudhary’s extensive training and commitment to nephrology make her a valuable addition to our center.
Meet Gunjan Choudhary, MD
Dr. Choudhary completed her medical education at Dr. S.N. Medical College in India. She then moved to the USA to further her medical training, completing her residency at Guthrie Clinic/Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, PA, and her fellowship at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center. She is board-certified in Internal Medicine and is a member of the American Society of Nephrology and the American Board of Internal Medicine.
Her clinical expertise includes acute kidney injury, electrolyte disturbance, and chronic kidney disease prevention, with a focus on comprehensive care and treatment. Dr. Choudhary was recognized as an ACP Young Achiever as a clinical research poster finalist, highlighting her dedication to advancing the field of nephrology.
Dr. Choudhary’s approach to patient care is rooted in compassion and evidence-based medicine. She is committed to being a strong advocate for her patients, ensuring they receive the best possible care. Her interest in nephrology stems from its complexity and the opportunity it provides for continuity of care, from acute inpatient settings to long-term outpatient management.
Outside of her professional life, Dr. Choudhary enjoys spending time with her husband and young son, practicing yoga, traveling, and exploring new places around the world.
