Julie M Feldkamp, APRN

Julie started working in dialysis as a BONENT-certified dialysis technician in 2006, where she decided on investing in a long-term goal with a career in nephrology. She obtained her nursing degree and, throughout her education advancement, stayed involved with dialysis in some capacity, whether as a nurse, nurse manager, or vascular access coordinator in the acute, post-acute, or chronic care settings. She specialized in hemodialysis, home therapies, and apheresis. While obtaining her master’s in nursing at Walden University and obtaining honors on the dean’s list, she decided she would continue her 20-plus years of experience as a nurse practitioner in nephrology. She belongs to the Critical Care Nurses Association (AACN).

Julie enjoys and excels at working directly with patients to help them overcome obstacles for optimal health, as well as to help them choose the best renal replacement therapy for their lifestyles. The goal is to help patients be as successful as possible with better health outcomes and improved quality of life. With her years of experience and education, she focuses on encouraging and guiding patients to maintain healthy lifestyles to prevent disease. Julie also has many years of experience steering, educating, and helping patients receive kidney transplants. She has a passion for sharing her knowledge while also being devoted to her own continuing understanding of up-to-date awareness of kidney disease and treatments.

In her free time, Julie enjoys spending time with her nephews and dog, anything sports related, participating in hot Pilates, and enjoying anything outdoors. She likes hiking, kayaking, ziplining, or anything else that involves water and adventure, and is the happiest when the sun is out and music is involved.
